THE FHO Racing name is set to make its Isle of Man TT Sidecar debut at this year’s event as it reveals an exciting new association with Peter Founds and Jevan Walmsley.

Faye Ho’s ever-expanding squad is delighted to be sponsoring multiple British F2 champion and TT podium-finisher Founds as he and Walmsley head back to the island to contest the iconic event.

Founds and Walmsley are regarded as one of the leading partnerships in the modern sidecar era and will set off fifth at this year’s TT.

Having traditionally run under the Team Founds banner, this year brings a change as the squad appears in FHO colours. The outfit has been out for a few events already this year, including the FSRA British F2 Championship, which Founds and Walmsley currently lead.

Isle of Man TT Races Set to be Completely Carbon Neutral For The First Time

The Department for Enterprise is making steps to reduce the carbon footprint of this year’s Isle of Man TT Races with the recent appointment of strategic partner, Pozitive Group.

The partnership will result in the first carbon neutral TT as Isle of Man based Pozitive Group have committed to funding a carbon offsetting programme that will cover the total emissions created by the Isle of Man TT Races including international visitor travel.

The full carbon impact is estimated to be around 5000 tonnes of carbon based on data from 2019, however the total 2022 emissions will be calculated post-event using a number of verified data sources, including the official race reports to capture racing emissions and the statistics from the 2022 TT Visitor Survey to calculate the impact of attendees, including travel data. Pozitive Group will also carry out a broader on-event assessment of any additional factors that may contribute to the final carbon emissions calculation.

Two victories for reigning champions, Lee Crawford / Scott Hardie (LCR Suzuki) closed the gap at the top of the standings to a mere four points behind early season pace-setters Pete Founds / Jevan Walmsley (LCR Honda). Founds – who had Jake Lowther deputising for Walmsley – had to settle for a brace of runners-up placings in what were two excellent encounters. Meanwhile, Rob Atkinson / Mark Middleton continued their 100% record in the F2 Cup, scoring maximum points with two victories in class.
